The weeks are zooming by at the moment.
School breaks up soon so a lot of free time is spent looking at maps and guidebooks and dreaming of the sun in the South of France. At least it helps to make the interminable rain bearable.
It was chucking it down on Saturday, so I spent a happy day surrounded by bits of fabric and paper.
I'm planning on doing some foundation piecing for my Brit Quilt Swap 3 partner. As I haven't done any before, I had a go with some scraps.
I enjoyed it so much that I actually completed all of the blocks, so now I have one that I can keep for myself and one that I can make for my partner.
I've decided on Oakshott cottons and some linen for my partner's version.
I need a bit more of some of the Oakshott colours, so probably won't be starting this for another couple of weeks. Definitely something to look forward to.
